Grupa Bee's Knees organizuje projekt "Młodzież w Działaniu"!

Z przyjemnością informujemy, że nasza grupa, pod opieką Stowarzyszenia TuRazem, organizuje projekt "On the tip of one's tongue".

Wraz z grupą turecką i węgierską będziemy zastanawiać się, jak język kształtuje stereotypy i jak im ulega. Zwieńczeniem będzie trójjęzyczny, alternatywny słownik, przygotowany przez uczestników.

We have dictonaries, language books, and even computer programes and Website – all to learn foreign languages. But sometimes still we cannot communicate, and kowing the grammar and vocabulary still we get the wrong wrong end of the stick. Why? Maybe because the language and the culture always go together and to understand the language, we have to understand the culture, too.

The project “On the tip of my tongue” will include 24 enhousiastic, young people and 3 leaders coming from Poland, Hungary and Turkey. In those countries, people speak langues from extremaly differen language families.

In the project, they will think about the language as the tool for cultural expression and communication. They will speak about the language as the way to learn  the world we live in. It will help them to understand the relations between th languag and the envoirnment (cultural, historical, ecological background). They will also share the best practices and tips how to learn effectivly another language.

As the result of the project, they will not only get new skills and competences for cultural expression, learning to larn and appreciating the differences. In the project, they will create 3 languages mini-dictionary. They will choose 50 words, that are the most useful for communication and culural expression. In the project, a proffesinal graphic designer will  create a on-line publication – the dictionry together with the tips how to learn a foreign language. The publication will promote the project, but also Youth in Action program.

The methods applied during the project will refers to the principles of non formal and informal learning, such as various workshops, laboratories, using digital technologies, and active participation of all the youngstes.
